Research Topics

·              Study and development of efficient numerical methods to improve emerging medical imaging techniques such as transmission or emission tomographic imaging and magnetic resonance imaging.

·              Study and development of regularization algorithms for the solution of the inverse ill-posed problems arising in medical imaging reconstruction. In particular, we consider iterative regularization algorithms and we study stooping criteria for such algorithms.

·              Study of general, robust and efficient methods for dealing with numerical solution of partial differential equations (PDE’s) models arising in image multiscale analysis.

·                   Neurology and neuroscience: functional brain studies.

·                   Nuclear medicine: PECT and SPECT.
