Möbius randomness law: number theory and dynamics

I will present an overview of some classical and recent results concerning the random aspects of the well-known M"obius function. Starting from number theoretical motivations, I will explain the role of dynamics in formulating and answering very deep questions. The talk is meant for a general audience.
