“UNA-RANDOM - WORKSHOP 2022”

This event is the group meeting of the project UnaRandom, funded by Una Europa. UNA-Random is formed by a group of scientists who analyze complex random systems from different approaches. Random systems are ubiquitous and their study involves different branches of Mathematics and Statistics given uncertainties in parameters, known unobservables, and external influences. These appear in natural to social and data sciences, including physics, biology, epidemiology, neuroscience, economics, finance and machine learning. The workshop combines talk sessions, which are open to the interested audience, and operational meetings (round tables) that are reserved to the project members.

Optimal regularity for degenerate Kolmogorov equations with rough coefficients
Seminario di analisi matematica, probabilità
We consider a class of degenerate equations satisfying a parabolic Hörmander condition, with coefficients that are measurable in time and Hölder continuous in the space variables. By utilizing a generalized notion of strong solution, we establish the existence of a fundamental solution and its optimal Hölder regularity, as well as Gaussian estimates. These results are key to study the backward Kolmogorov equations associated to a class of Langevin-type diffusions.
